Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE) in Ireland
Show map
The First Certificate Examination given by the University of Cambridge corresponds to the intermediate level of the English language. It is the one required in many educational institutions in order to be accepted to study.
The five components of this exam are: writing, speaking, reading, use of English and listening. Each one values 20%. The results are given from A to E, being A the highest grade. Students who get A, B or C pass the exam; however, the results of D and E are not high enough to reach the desired intermediate level.
