General English 10 lessons per week
Levels: Intermediate - Level B1
Students are motivated to speak and practise English through practical tasks and activities. Interactive lessons will be used to help students understand and use new grammar, vocabulary and skills through:
-Reading authentic texts from many sources, such as newspapers and magazines.
-Writing both formal and informal letters describing impressions and feelings, experiences and events.
-Listening to a variety of material from interviews with real people, radio programmes and songs.
The course is also ideal for students who want to learn English for work or study, and to communicate more effectively with native speakers.
By the end of the course you should be able to:
• Express your opinion and hold discussions with native speakers on a fairly wide variety of topics with a level of fluency and spontaneity that makes communication possible without strain.
• Understand people speaking English on radio and television, and understand the main points of complex pieces of writing.
• Understand and write, clear and detailed text on a wide range of subjects, both concrete and abstract, including technical discussions in your field of specialisation, and express advantages and disadvantages of different points of view.
