General English + conversation 20 lessons per week
Levels: Beginner, Elementary - Level A1, Pre-Intermediate - Level A2, Intermediate - Level B1, Upper Intermediate - Level B2, Advanced - Level C1, Proficient - Level C2
General English is the main programme at ILC Colchester. Students study the four language skills (speaking, listening, writing and reading), with an emphasis on listening and speaking in class. They also learn English grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Students can start any Monday (except Bank Holidays). There are 20 lessons a week in groups of maximum 14 students. 7 levels, from Beginner to Advanced, based on the Common European Framework for languages.

* Your teachers will use a range of techniques and technologies to help you learn
* Regular level tests will show you when you are ready to progress to the next level
* You will have a regular counselling session with a teacher to discuss your progress and how you feel about the course
