The General English Programme is structured to develop the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in general contexts. Contextual, situational and topical material accompanied with the provision of appropriate grammatical input. Additionally, opportunities for learners to communicate with each other are maximised through the completion of real-life tasks and communication activities. In providing this structure teachers give a balanced and integrated focus on all aspects of English.
